Retain - Affinity Payment Method Page Optimizations
The Payment Methods page now has an optimized payment error experience in the Affinity customer portal.
Historically, when accessing the payment methods page in the customer portal, there was no way of knowing (as a customer) if you had a payment error associated with an order. Also, if you received a charge declined email, and are a customer with multiple payment methods, there was no obvious way to tell which payment method had been declined.
If a customer lands on the payment methods page and has a payment error associated with a charge, they now are presented with a payment error banner at the top and a Call To Action to update their payment method.
Please note:
- This optimization is only available to stores that have Retain or Failed Payment Recovery.
- The store does not need an active Failed Payment Recovery flow to see this optimization.
