We now break down insights by two areas in a brand new "Insights" tab.


  • By reason: We create insights for a merchant on a cancellation reason basis, helping a merchant understand the trends behind particular cancellation reasons.
  • By product: We create insights on a product basis, three for each product that has enough cancellation notes for the month

New Early Adopter Program - Cohort Performance Dashboard

Our new Cohort Performance dashboard offers our deepest-ever look into the lifetime performance of a store's subscribers.


  • View 14 new cohort reports for subscribers--including Average lifetime subscription revenue, Monthly order placement rate, and more.
  • View weighted averages for cohort metrics so you can benchmark performance against historical averages
  • Compare cohort performance in line graph view so you can more easily spot trends and outliers, compare unique cohorts, and see which cohorts are performing above and below average.
  • Use a smart new "Compare" view to compare average retention rate, lifetime value, etc. for different products or customer segments to determine which of their products retain the most subscribers, generate the highest lifetime revenue, etc.

PRO merchants: 15 additional reports, including "Average Lifetime Subscription Revenue"

New Order Errors Dashboard Now Available

Recharge's new Order Errors Analytics dashboard is now available to all merchants! This innovative dashboard offers comprehensive insights into how errors impact order processing, providing detailed breakdowns of trending error types and recovered revenue from retries.


Order Errors - 1st attempt charts

Details the rate at which orders fail on their first scheduled processing attempt, the count of these failures, and the breakdown of specific error types that occurred during the month. Time series charts display daily trends of the 1st attempt failure rate, rate by error type, and daily counts over the month.

Order error recovery

Details the recovered revenue and order counts over the month as a result of retrying orders. Time series charts display daily retry attempts (successful, and failed), retry attempts by error type, and the retry success rate.

New Early Adopter Programs - Variant Swap and Combined Offers for Cancellation Prevention

We've just rolled out even more new features for Cancellation Prevention to help you effectively stop cancellations in their tracks.


  • Swap Variant

Now, you can offer customers the ability to easily switch to different variants of the same product they’re subscribed to. This is perfect for cancellation reasons like “I don’t like the flavor” or “I have too much.” The swap-variant journey takes the customer straight to their current product’s details page, making the switch simple and hassle-free. 

  • Combined Offer Types

Give your customers more reasons to stay by combining a Delay with a Discount, Free Gift, or Swap offer to provide more versatile and compelling incentives during the cancellation process.

Bulk Copy and Replace Plans on Products

Merchants who use Recharge's Product Subscription Plans can now select multiple products to bulk update, and then choose which “source” product they want to copy existing plans from. 


This allows merchants to configure a single product the way they like, test to make sure the configuration is as they expect, and then use that product as the “source” product to copy its plan configurations over to up to 50 other products at a time.

Merchant Portal Left Navigation Bar V2

Recharge’s newly redesigned navigation bar features a fresh, intuitive layout that consolidates product offerings, tools, and settings into a streamlined lefthand menu, improving user experience by reducing clutter and providing more active view space.



Background:
Recharge's legacy lefthand navigation was a great improvement over our previous iteration, but as Recharge has continued to produce great products and features over the few years, the navigation bar has become bloated and disorganized. As Recharge continues to grow, a new and improved navigation is needed to better position how Recharge can power the routine business.

What's new:
With our new navigation, we have given it a fresh enjoyable design and also grouped out menu items into more intuitive sections to reduce clutter. Here is a list of key features the new navigation provides to boost the Recharge experience:
  • All product offerings, tools, and settings now exist in the lefthand navigation providing more vertical space for your active view. Users can also collapse the sidebar to give themselves even more space!
  • The Customers grouping now contains the Subscriptions and Orders pages. This helps save space and group related customer views.
  • All navigation items are always visible to the user.
  • If a user does not have permission to access a feature they will still see the menu item but the item will be disabled and a tooltip informs them they do not have the necessary permissions to view that page.
  • If the store does not have the required billing plan to access a specific feature, you will see an icon and a tooltip directing on how to upgrade your plan to access these features.
  • All settings, store information, tools, and Help features now exist in the bottom left of the menu.
  • "Switch back to the old nav" item allows you to disable the new experience. Upon doing so you will be prompted with a survey asking for feedback.

  • Win Backs enters Early Adopter Program: Incentivize lost customers to re-subscribe with compelling offers showcased on tailored landing pages. 
  • Free gift offers for Cancellation Prevention enters Early Adopter Program: Offer a free gift to customers attempting to cancel, giving them another reason to stick around.
  • Gaming prevention for Cancellation Prevention enters Early Adopter Program: Prevent offer abuse by setting limits for how often a customer can claim a monetary offer.
  • Improved image uploader for the image + text section in the site builder: Seamlessly upload images or select from your image library, eliminating the need to host these images outside of Recharge.
  • Segments node now available in all Rewards & Upcoming Order Cross-sell Flows: Drag-and-drop support and create a segment node directly within Flows.

  • Minnesota retail delivery fee implemented: Minnesota introduces retail delivery fee, effective July 1, 2024. See changelog post for full details on how to stay compliant.

  • New Order Errors page replacing Charge Errors tab: Instead of hunting through multiple pages, find everything you need to know about errors neatly organized in one place.

Segments node now available in all Rewards & Upcoming Order Cross-sell Flows

Use customer segments to provide Subscription Experiences to specific groups of customers, or add and remove customers from specified cohorts for improved customer management.

What's been added since EAP began:

  • Drag and drop support: You can now drag and drop the segments node onto any rewards or cross-sell type flow, giving you control on when to automatically add or remove customers from segments based on broad conditions. 
  • Create segment within Flows: Now you can create segments directly in the flow node configuration, allowing for a smoother and more efficient merchant workflow.

  • Gaming Prevention

Prevent offer abuse by setting limits for how often a customer can claim a monetary offer. This protects your business from manipulative cancellations while maintaining the effectiveness of your retention strategy.

Improved Image Uploader for the Image + Text Section in the Site Builder

Easily upload images to the “Text with image” section in the Site Builder to enhance your Upsell, Cancellation Prevention, and Win Backs landing pages. 


Using our new image uploader interface, you can seamlessly upload images or select from your image library, eliminating the need to host these images outside of Recharge.

This feature will be added to the remaining landing page sections containing images soon. For more information on the Site Builder, see our help center documentation.
