Shopify Markets Support has moved into Open EAP. Once you have set up Markets in Shopify, you can enable support in Recharge. 

• Set fixed prices by market
• Apply manual exchange rates
• Adjust prices by market using percentage-based increases or decreases
• Use rounding rules
• Control availability
• Set sales tax rules

Checkout Upsell Swap is now available in our Early Adopter Program for Shopify Plus stores on SCI and SCI(m). This new checkout app block lets you present a product, variant, or plan swap directly on the checkout page.

Checkout Upsell Swap enables subscription-to-prepaid upgrades, one-time to subscription conversions, and SKU-to-SKU upsells for stores that manage separate SKUs or multiple variants. By enabling contextually relevant swaps at checkout, you can drive higher average order value, improve conversion, and give your customers a smoother purchase experience.

Quantity Upsells are now available via our Early Adopter Program for merchants who want to offer plan-based quantity discounts and simplify SKU management. Available to Shopify stores on our Affinity customer portal.

Quantity Upsells let merchants create subscription plans that encourage larger quantities at deeper discounts (for example: 1 unit every month at 5% off, 3 units every 3 months at 15% off). This use case was previously solved by using separate SKUs or variants, which complicates inventory, logistics configuration, and adding new products. This feature can increase average order value, reduce low-margin shipments, and help merchants recover acquisition costs faster.

Tiered discounts are now compatible with Checkout Upsell, Upsell All, and Checkout Cross-sell app blocks.

This ensures discounts now display and apply automatically when:

• Customers upgrade or downgrade a subscription via Checkout Upsell Line Items or Upsell All
• Customers add additional products via Checkout Cross-sell

You can set up a Tiered discount by selecting Discounts > Tiered discounts in the Nav menu.

We've recently migrated a large segment of stores to Product Subscription Plans. This means these stores are now eligible to access new features, including the new subscription widget

Additionally, Product Subscription Plans allows more flexibility with plan set-up:

• Different discount percentages for different frequencies
• Different frequency units for the same product (days, weeks, months)
• Channel settings - show different discounts on the widget vs. the customer portal
• Onetime plan discounts - give your existing subscribers discounts on onetime products added to their next order from the customer portal

How to know if your store has been upgraded:
If you now see all of your Shopify products listed and editable in the Recharge merchant portal, your store is on Product Subscription Plans. More details can be found here.

Recharge’s Cart and Cart Overlay are now available in Open Early Access to all Shopify stores.

This release allows you to enable cart upsells, cross-sells, and overlay experiences - bringing Recharge’s cart capabilities in line with other top cart providers. 

New features include a free shipping progress bar that can auto-complete when a subscription is in the cart, inline discount code entry with real-time pricing updates, and advanced cart settings with self-serve theme issue resolution. These enhancements reduce reliance on support and improve the buyer experience.

Smart select intelligently uses the first item in a customer's order to choose the best product to cross-sell - and is now available for your Post-purchase page.

With Smart Select, you can automatically display the right product to your customer with no manual setup required.

Checkout Upsell is now compatible with Recharge Bundles, including both Upsell All and Upsell Line Items.

Customers with one-time bundles at checkout can now convert to subscriptions easily - with the savings highlighted during the experience. 

For Dynamic Customizable Bundles, Upsell All is recommended, as these bundles consist of line items. To preserve bundle integrity, individual line item upsells are automatically disabled for these bundle contents.

We're excited to introduce early access to Recharge Cart Drawer and Recharge Cart Overlay, two powerful features designed to enhance upsell opportunities and improve the shopping experience for merchants and customers alike.

Recharge Cart Overlay

The Cart Overlay allows customers to seamlessly upgrade a one-time purchase to a subscription before reaching the cart. This feature is designed to drive higher subscription adoption with minimal friction for customers.

Recharge Cart Drawer

The Cart Drawer is a fully Recharge-owned and managed cart experience. This feature will support upselling by enabling one-time purchases to be converted into subscriptions directly in the cart. 

Recharge's cart options are available for Shopify stores using a Shopify 2.0 theme. You can request enablement through this form.

We've released a new feature that allows you to add a follow-on offer to your Post-Purchase Cross-sell. This means that after the first cross-sell has been accepted or declined, you can entice your customers with an additional offer.

Some strategies we recommend with this feature are:

- Offer the same product with a steeper discount

- Offer a different product that complements their initial purchase

- Offer the same product they checked out with (increasing the quantity)

- Offer a gift card to the store at a discount
