  • Customize your copy to highlight subscription benefits and onetime drawbacks to increase conversion rates.

A/B Testing and Analytics (Pro and Custom plans)

  • Add an A/B test node to create and compare different widget versions.
  • Analyze widget performance with detailed analytics and filtering tools.

CSS Editor

  • We have released a CSS editor to match your widget with your brand guidelines. See CSS changes in real time as you make your edits. Pro and Custom Plan stores can A/B test different CSS changes across your different widgets.

New Early Adopter Program - Recharge Cart Drawer & Cart Overlay

We're excited to introduce early access to Recharge Cart Drawer and Recharge Cart Overlay, two powerful features designed to enhance upsell opportunities and improve the shopping experience for merchants and customers alike.



Recharge Cart Overlay

The Cart Overlay allows customers to seamlessly upgrade a one-time purchase to a subscription before reaching the cart. This feature is designed to drive higher subscription adoption with minimal friction for customers.

Recharge Cart Drawer

The Cart Drawer is a fully Recharge-owned and managed cart experience. This feature will support upselling by enabling one-time purchases to be converted into subscriptions directly in the cart. 

Recharge's cart options are available for Shopify stores using a Shopify 2.0 theme. You can request enablement through this form.

New and Improved Subscription Widget Now Available for All Shopify Stores

The new Subscription Widget is now accessible to all Shopify merchants, bringing an improved subscription experience directly within Recharge. All stores now have access to the Subscription Widget along with base analytics to track performance.


If you were previously using our Subscription Widget, you may have noticed a major change—the settings for this feature are now located in Recharge instead of Shopify. This shift allows us to introduce more features in the future and provide deeper insights into your widget’s performance.

Pro and Custom stores gain additional benefits, including A/B testing for optimizing conversions and more detailed analytics for deeper insights.

Offer Rewards on one-time purchases - General release

You can now reward customers with credits on one-time only checkouts. Give credits on one-time purchases to incentivize repeat buying, or make credits subscription-only to provide more motivation to convert to a subscriber.


With this new Rewards strategy, engage a broader range of customers, create a new funnel for subscription acquisition, and further consolidate your tech stack. Create a flow that triggers for all one-time only checkout orders, even if they don’t include a subscription. Additionally, customers who make one-time only checkouts (without ever having a subscription) are now created in Recharge along with their checkout order history!

BigCommerce Checkout Integration now support SEPA Direct Debit and iDEAL

All BigCommerce merchants using our unified checkout integration (BCI) can now offer SEPA Direct Debit and iDEAL as payment method options to their customers. These payment methods rely on our integration with Stripe and are available to European stores that let you directly debit your customers’ bank accounts as a form of payment.

Expand to international markets with 'Taxes included' configuration on BCI

All merchants using Recharge with our BigCommerce Checkout Integration (Unified checkout) now have the option to display the total pricing for subscriptions (i.e. base price + taxes). This is the most common tax configuration in Europe and Australia. 



Merchants with the taxes included configuration will also be able to take advantage of the BigCommerce discount functionality and be sure that the prices and taxes are always calculated correctly.

Customers can now gift a skipped a shipment

All Recharge merchants can now enable their customers to gift an upcoming order as a one-time shipment when they select the ‘skip’ option. Once enabled, merchants can simultaneously recover skipped shipments and expand their customer base. 



  • Merchants will be able to enable/disable this feature
  • Customers will be able to enter the shipping information for sending the one-time gift
  • Gift recipients will receive a notification prior to receiving the shipment
