We’ve added two new webhooks to help merchants create more personalized gifting experiences, just in time for the holiday season.

What’s New

• gift_purchase/created – Fires when a sender purchases a gift subscription for a recipient.
• gift_purchase/redeemed – Fires when a recipient redeems their gift.

These webhooks give merchants more control over the gifting journey, enabling them to create custom experiences around gifting. For example:

• Reward gift senders with credits when they purchase a gift.
• Trigger special actions when a recipient redeems their gift, such as sending a personalized notification or adding bonus items to their subscription.

Together, these events open up opportunities to elevate the gifting journey and make it more rewarding for both senders and recipients.
