Customize the Subscriptions page with the Affinity 2.0 Page Builder

Create a more flexible subscription management experience with customizable layouts, actions, and content.

The Subscriptions page in Affinity 2.0 can now be customized directly through the Page Builder, giving you more control over how customers view and manage their subscriptions.

The redesigned page includes:

  • Subscription-level actions like skip and cancel
  • Grouping options based on delivery frequency or address
  • Grid or list layouts to customize how subscriptions are displayed
  • Extensions support for adding out-of-the-box or custom experiences

This brings the same self-serve customization available on the Next Order page to subscription management.

See Customizing the Affinity 2.0 customer portal for more information.

AI-powered auto-translate now available in the Affinity Portal Builder

Translate your customer portal into supported languages with a single click.

You can now use Recharge AI to automatically translate your Affinity customer portal into any supported language directly from the Portal Builder.

When you select a non-base language, you can launch Auto-Translate to generate translations for all portal content, including both standard interface text and your custom widget copy. Translations appear immediately in the builder for review, and nothing is published until you click Save.

If manual translations already exist for the selected language, you'll be notified before they are overwritten, giving you the opportunity to confirm before proceeding.

Coming soon: Support for Shopify customer segment discounts

Rolling out starting July 27

We're excited to announce support for Shopify discounts that use customer segment eligibility criteria.

What's changing?

Previously, Recharge did not import Shopify discount codes or automatic discounts that were restricted to specific Shopify customer segments. These discounts were skipped during import and could not be applied to recurring subscription orders.

Beginning with this rollout, Recharge will import these Shopify discounts, allowing eligible discounts to apply to recurring subscription orders as expected. Discounts that include other unsupported Shopify discount features will still not be imported.

Is any action required?

Most merchants won't need to take any action.

However, you should review your setup if:

  • You have Shopify discount codes or automatic discounts that use customer segment eligibility criteria, and
  • Those discounts are intended to apply to multiple or all recurring subscription orders (not just the initial checkout).

Because Recharge will now import these discounts, you may no longer need any custom workflows or workarounds you've put in place to support these use cases.

We recommend reviewing your existing discounts and any related automations or custom logic to determine whether they should be updated or removed after this feature is enabled.

If you have questions about how this change may affect your store, please reach out to our support team.

Custom extensions now available on all Affinity landing pages

Bring custom experiences to every stage of the subscriber journey.

Custom extensions are now supported across all Affinity landing pages, including Cancellation Prevention, Win Backs, and Upcoming Order Email pages.

This gives you even more flexibility to customize key subscriber touchpoints by adding branded content, third-party integrations, or entirely new interactive experiences.

Whether you're embedding appointment booking, personalized recommendations, or other custom functionality, you can now tailor more of the Affinity experience to fit your brand and business needs.

See Using custom extensions for more information.

Bundle Widget 2.0 now supports URL prefills

Pre-populate bundle selections from quizzes, landing pages, and guided selling experiences.

Bundle Widget 2.0 now supports URL and query parameter prefills, making it easy to pass pre-selected bundle contents directly into the widget.

This enables seamless handoffs from custom quizzes, product recommendation tools, and landing pages without relying on unsupported workarounds or custom DOM manipulation.

With prefilled bundle selections, you can create smoother guided shopping experiences that help customers build their bundles faster and improve conversion.

See Pre-filling the bundles widget using query parameters for more information.

Recharge Cart is now generally available

Turn every cart into a revenue opportunity with built-in upsells, cross-sells, and tiered rewards.

Recharge Cart is now available to all Shopify stores, giving merchants a customizable cart drawer designed to increase average order value before checkout.

Alongside general availability, we're also launching the new Cart Tiered Progress Bar, which lets you create up to three reward tiers, such as free shipping and a free gift, to encourage customers to spend more. Rewards are automatically applied as soon as the cart reaches each threshold.

To make upgrading seamless, all merchants using the previous free shipping progress bar have been automatically migrated to the new Tiered Progress Bar. No additional setup is required - it's already available in your store.

See Setting up the Recharge Cart to convert one-time buyers to subscribers and Getting started with the Cart Tiered Progress Bar for more information.

Bundles Test Mode now generally available

Test customizable bundles before publishing them to your storefront.

You can now use Shopify's Unlisted product status as Test Mode for Customizable Bundles, making it easier to validate bundle configurations before customers can purchase them.

Bundles in Test Mode remain hidden from your storefront, giving you a safe environment to configure, test, and review your bundle experience without exposing it to shoppers.

Once testing is complete, you can activate the bundle directly from the Bundles admin.

This update simplifies implementation and migrations while reducing the risk of launching unfinished bundle experiences.

Control email open tracking for customer emails

Disable email open tracking to help meet evolving privacy requirements.

You can now disable email open tracking for customer emails from Recharge, giving you greater control over how email engagement is measured.

This update is especially important for merchants selling in France, where new legislation taking effect on July 14, 2026 requires separate consent for email open tracking. As similar privacy regulations emerge in other regions, this setting provides a straightforward way to manage compliance at the store level.

Open tracking remains enabled by default, and Recharge will not automatically change your settings. Merchants can choose whether to disable tracking based on their own compliance requirements and risk assessment.

Merchants are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable laws in the regions where they operate.

See France email open tracking rules and Recharge: What you need to know for more information.
